Worldwide Licensing Program for Canadian Smart-Bear Adventures Interactive Series
Vancouver and LA (Feb 28, 2006) Leboe & Grice Multimedia, a Canadian multimedia production company, entered into a strategic alliance for licensing on behalf of their award winning series, Smart-Bear Adventures. Retail sales of licensed merchandise in the U.S. and Canada rose 1% to $71.2 billion in 2005, according to 29th Annual Licensing Letter Business Survey. Effective immediately VooDoo Entertainment will build a worldwide licensing program for Smart-Bear Adventures with an initial focus on publishing, toys, giftware, apparel, packaged goods and stationery, while Leboe & Grice will focus on broadcast, interactive and wireless applications.

"Childrens’ entertainment preferences are changing to include interactivity - consequently new possibilities emerge," said Lynn Leboe, CEO of Leboe & Grice Multimedia. Winner of three International Childrens’ awards in 2005, including Top 10 Socially Responsible products for children, Smart-Bear Adventures Interactives are a unique cross between a storybook and video game for children 3-9. The warm-hearted computer animated style stimulates kids to imagine and wonder about the world around them as they follow characters (Jeanie Whistler and twin cubs) on their fun-filled adventures.

"Smart-Bear Adventures is one of the most distinctive character properties to appear for a long time," said licensing veteran Sandie Hatch, CEO of VooDoo Entertainment. "Smart-Bear Adventures is a truly lovable property at first glance. Its compelling graphics, engaging story lines and interactivity attract children and their parents and is winning the trust of educators - essential components for crafting a thriving evergreen licensing program."

"We’re delighted to be working with Sandie Hatch and VooDoo Entertainment. Sandie has an impressive history of building and cultivating well-known entertainment brands globally," said Lynn Leboe. "Sandie’s passion and keen understanding of the industry ensures that Smart-Bear Adventures will do well."
